They have one of the largest communities of file sharing customers because it gives people a chance to connect that they have never had before. It's allow people to achieve fame and stardom that they could only have dreamed of.

Youtube was the right media during the right time period. It truly was an idea who time had come. Today there are dozens if not hundreads of file sharing sites that try to emulate the success of Youtube, but only a select few have achieved anything close to the scope of what you tube was able to accomplish.
